Systemic toxicity of arsenic is sometimes manifested in a variety of symptoms including keratosis, hyperpigmentation, skin eruptions, dermal lesions, Bowen's disease, various forms of skin cancer, and neoplasia. Chronic dermal accumulation of arsenic increases the susceptibility of the skin to ultraviolet radiation.
