Flood : Paintings by Richard Tsao

Born and raised in Thailand to Chinese parents, Tsao has lived and worked in New York since 1972. He cultivates his paintings over a lengthy period of time. By placing canvases face down in a flood of marble dust, pigment, and water, the artist mediates the dialogue between these elements until they have reached perfect saturation.
