Jolly Readers Yellow Level (Level 2)

The Jolly Readers are interesting storybooks designed for children who are just ready to read. They will have learned all the letter sounds in Jolly Phonics, and be able to blend these sounds to read simple words (including words not seen before). They use words with the basic letter sounds in Jolly Phonics, and not the alternative spellings of the digraphs. These alternative spellings will be introduced in a later level.This new second level is slightly more advanced than the first and follows the same lively and interesting three series. Now, in addition to the 42 letter sounds used in the first level, y is used for the /ee/ sound at the end of words like funny.
