SUMMARY
Freeman Patterson has published twelve books and won numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the North American Nature Photography Association in 2001, the Miller Brittain Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts in 2003, and in 2004 The Garden was shortlisted for the Roloff Beny Photography Book Award. He was appointed to the Order of Canada in 1985.
