China Perceptions : Views from an American Teenager

Charles Zhang is thirteen years-old in Lexington, Massachusetts. He attended school at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge and will enter his freshman year at Phillips Exeter Academy. Charles’ recent travel to China inspired him to seek further understanding of Chinese culture and traditions. He has finished reading My Country and My People” by Lin Yu Tan and is currently studying Confucian philosophy. Charles also expresses great interest in the philosophy of other cultures. Learning aside, Charles enjoys tinkering with new technologies, making movies and eating spicy food.
