But Mother Nature has a way of keeping everything in balance. None of the Junkers would be much to look at but they were cheap. The paint would be oxidized and there would be little white cloudy spots in the glass and the tires would be bald. The clutch pedal had to come out all the way from the floor before it would catch. You would be lucky if you would have any brake pads at all. The front end would wobble anytime you got over 30MPH. Mt first Junker was a twenty-five dollar dark green 1948 Pontiac.Whalen, John is the author of 'Fauntleroy Boys', published 2003 under ISBN 9781401085902 and ISBN 1401085903.
