SILENT STRENGTH is a synthesis of two creative sources - the eyes & the heart. It contains 22 exquisite nature photographs interlaced with inspirational poetry. The poems, pulsing with hope, flowing with spirituality speak to the glories of nature & the quiet strength of the human soul. Her color photographs of a waterlily, a cabbage, a sunlit tree, drew from nature the same mysterious statements as O'Keefe's paintings. The combination of the artist's poetry & photography is a delight, springing from her personal journey of transformation. In 1983, as a result of diabetic complications, the artist began to lose her physical sight. The subsequent end to her photography & the world of visual contact propelled her to seek a deeper level of Truth.
