In this memoir she brings together both of her writing identities to remember and write the stories of the culture that made her.Marlene Kadaris the former director of the Graduate Programme in Interdisciplinary Studies at York University. She teaches feminist theory and life writing in the Humanities Division and in Women's Studies. Her publications include Essays on Life Writing, which won the Gabrielle Roy Prize (English) for 1992.
